What is the difference between a Status of Title and a Record of Title?

A Status of Title provides owner information, legal description, and lists all the active (current) instruments currently affecting a title. This is the version most often required for a permit application.

A Record of Title provides much of the same information, and lists all the active (current) and inactive (historical) instruments affecting a title.
